E. Zachary Nussbaum, M.D.

Zachary Nussbaum, MD is an assistant professor of medicine and pathology at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a practicing infectious disease physician and specializes in managing infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts. In addition, he is an assistant director of the Tufts Medical Center microbiology laboratory where he is committed to optimizing infectious disease diagnostic testing. He is actively involved in the Tufts ID fellowship program and is passionate about medical education. He is currently working with the Tufts Lyme Initiative and the CDC in developing strategies for utilizing electronic health records to estimate the incidence of Lyme disease.  In his spare time, he can be found playing guitar, on the golf course, or in the gym working on his squash skills.
