Andrew Camilli, PhD

Dr. Andrew Camilli is a Professor of Microbiology at Tufts University School of Medicine.  His laboratory studies the pathogenesis of Vibro cholera and Streptococcus pneumoniae.  An alumni of the Howard Hughes Institute, his laboratory has pioneered new genetic techniques that have led to the discovery of hundreds of new virulence factors for these organisms.  His laboratory has collaborated with Dr. Hu’s laboratory to bring these tools to the study of Lyme disease.
